On the evening of February 6th, the Hackensack Education Association PRIDE committee sponsored a Black Lives Matter at Schools forum, a part of a national initiative to shine a light on inequity in education and provide students an opportunity to voice their experiences.
Congratulations to member and Hackensack Middle School teacher Raquel James Goodman for organizing this worthwhile event through PRIDE. Thank you to all of the HPS staff and community members that made the event a success. We must also praise our courageous student panel made up of both middle and high school students who so eloquently shared their stories. It was a powerful evening of togetherness for all members of the community.
